Department Chair discuss the risks of religious directives in ‘Time’ op/ed

“Medical professionals are trained to act swiftly and with the best interests of our patients in mind,” says Timothy R.B. Johnson, M.D., U-M’s chair of Obstetrics & Gynecology, in an op/ed published this week in “Time.”
 
“It’s not in the best interests of anyone, not least of all the people seeking our help, to have those decisions questioned by non-medical entities.”
