Every minute of every day, a woman dies of pregnancy related complications. Stories of Mothers Lost, an exhibit of handmade quilts from around the world now on display in Lane Hall, memorializes some of these women.

1000+ OBGYN Meeting, Accra, Ghana - February 12-14, 2014

From February 12-14, 2014, The University of Michigan Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology will be hosting the meeting, "Building Academic Partnerships to train 1000+ OBGYNs in sub-Saharan Africa" in Accra, Ghana.  This meeting is generously funded by both the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the Flora Family Foundation.

Anita Payne Lectureship and Poster Day

The Anita Payne Lectureship and Poster Day are quickly approaching.  Dr. Mary Hunzicker-Dunn, Associate Director of Graduate Studies, Edward R Meyer Distinguished Professor, School of Molecular Biosciences, Washington State University School, Pullman, Washington will be presenting the lecture this year.  The lecture/poster session will be held again this year in Towsley Center Facilities on Friday, October 4, 2013.

Focus on Women Series - " The Inside Story"

The Women’s Health Programs and the Comprehensive Cancer Center are partnering to present “The Inside Story.”  The morning sessions will provide “the inside story” on what your health care providers are looking for during your annual a pelvic exam and which tests and screenings are routine and which tests are not so routine but sometimes necessary. We’ll also hear a courageous story of an ovarian cancer survivor.
